Kate turned 1 {in style} at the end of January! I made her a tutu for Christmas and we had this girlie girl photo shoot the morning before her party. She however did prove that she doesn’t care much for playing dress up, seeing as how her hat, flower, and beads lasted all of about 5 minutes, as you can see below.




And this is where it began to go downhill…


Luckily, we could save the day with a birthday cupcake. We couldn’t stop laughing during this part.




The final lesson of the day is that Kate does NOT like the Happy Birthday song. Haha!


The next day we did a short Family shoot.


Remember the photo on the left from just over a year ago? We recreated it!

The weekend was a lot of fun! Happy Birthday Kate! I look forward to watching you grow even more this coming year!

Happy Fall! I love this time of year when the tree leaves change colors and the air is cool & crisp. It made this perfect setting for the Miller family shoot.

Just a quick picture from our day at the pool with my sister and niece Kate, who is now seven months old! Can’t believe it. Isn’t she adorable?

You may remember Amy & Patrick’s engagement shoot from earlier this year. Well, they married on Memorial Day at Woodrow Hall in downtown and the wedding was GORGEOUS with only the kind eye-catching details Amy can dream up! They built a hoopa out of birch branches, her cake had an adorable topper while his was AUwesome (I say that not just because I’m an Auburn alumna), and the bridesmaid shoes & bouquets offered such a great pop of color. The best part though was watching these two, so very much in love, vow to spend their lifetimes together. One of the sweetest, most heartfelt ceremonies I’ve seen in quite some time!
