Granby Mountain
Molly & Garrett met their first week of college in Nebraska. And Molly knew right away. She even told Garrett that she wasn’t sure how but that he would an important person in her life. Little did she know she was looking at her best friend for life. Both natives to the Denver area, they wanted Colorado Fall Engagement Photos for obvious reasons & were aiming for the Fraser/Granby area. We chose mid September with our fingers crossed that it would be peak fall color. The yellow aspen trees did not disappoint us.
When we met Molly told me that she had few photos of her & Garrett that she loved. You see, she is 4’11 and he is 6’5 so they have more than a foot difference in height. Thankfully the Granby area provided plenty of rocks & trees for her to stand on to get them closer to each other. They were so easy with each other, we had a great time & I appreciated them tolerating my photographer jokes.
Berthoud Pass
From the Granby area, we headed up to Berthoud Pass, the pass between I70 & the Winter Park area, for sunset. We made it just in time to catch the final breath of light in the day & a little bit of alpenglow on Colorado Mines Peak. The spot had the cutest patch of white flowers, which is super rare for mid September. I loved how Garrett’s shirt echoed the pine trees in curve of the pass road. We laughed as we found this stump of a log for Molly to stand on. Rather impressed with her ability to balance on it in booties with a heel. Garrett was happy to help her stay steady though.
