Since they are getting married in the more natural setting of Arrowhead Golf Course this October, Bryan & Krista decided they wanted a city setting for their engagement session. In tow with their adorable Yorkshire Terriers Ted & Maya, we started in Denver’s City Park followed by Larimer Square.
Bryan & Krista met online & decided to meet in person after a few email exchanges. Breakfast turned into lunch and after their first official date at a hockey game – the rest was history!
In the spring, they visited Hawaii for about a week and a half. Bryan was ready with his tripod, camera, and equipment to capture the exact moment he dropped to one knee. They were on a secluded beach hoping to catch some sea turtles when the perfect time came. He told me he captured about 200 photos of the exact proposal moment!
For their session, the wind of course picked up right when we started and it rained off & on, but we kept going and it paid off! We headed over to the City Park pavilion – I just love the soft yellow with the turquoise iron-work! The lake was covered in some kind of soft green algae & the geese were out for a swim.
Their yorkies Ted & Maya sure enjoyed all the extra snuggles during the shoot!
At sunset, we met back up at Larimer Square for some night time engagement photos. The alley behind Larimer is such a great spot to play! And then of course, there is the classic Larimer square photo. I always love seeing the reactions of the car drivers who have the couple dip kiss right in front of them or do a lift while I’m at the adjacent crosswalk snapping photos! Bryan & Krista of course nailed it!
