Family at the Beach | Denver Colorado Child & Family Photography

July 21, 2012

After our European travels, we decided to maximize our plane tickets and travel time by stopping in Alabama to visit family. My parents happened to be planning a Gulf Shores trip with their grandbabies at that exact time, so we crashed the party. How convenient!

Nothing against the “all-dressed-in-white” beach family photos that are popular, but I wanted to keep our clothes a little more naturally coordinated. Plus, Bryan & I had very slim pickings, given we only had a few extra items other than what was in our backpacks from Europe. So I had everyone lay out what they brought and mixed & matched. Must say I’m diggin’ the pastel mix!

Jenna, who was 9 months here, was such a jovial little subject, flashing me smiles & squeals. I especially enjoyed that she couldn’t quite run away from me yet.

Despite the threat of a storm, the sunset came out just right on this day. Yes, I used the timer and ran on this one. Also a huge thanks to the strangers who helped get the kiddos’ attention.

Such a cute ham! She posed herself here and on the photos later in this post.
