Years ago, Kelsey & Kilioi met while studying at the University of Colorado in Boulder. They were neighbors so they naturally hung out a lot and their friendship grew from there. Once graduated, Kelsey’s work took her up to Seattle & the two faced long distance. For their first Christmas away from family, Kilioi flew up to Washington where he proposed
Both Colorado natives, the couple decided to get married back here at the Sunrise Amphitheater in Boulder since the area held such a special place in their hearts – the beginning of their relationship & where they used to hike together. When Kelsey & I first chatted, she let me know she chose her dress in hopes that she could climb on a few boulders for photos & that she did! Her Tieks ballet flats helped as well as we all clamored on rocks to get such epic views.

We started off at the Hotel Boulderado for getting ready & pre-ceremony shenanigans.
We then headed to Chautauqua Park in Boulder for their first look set against the iconic flatirons.
They both have such fun & sweet families. We enjoyed getting to watch them interact with Kilioi’s grandmother “Tutu”.
For their couple’s portraits, we utilized the Sunrise Amphitheater grounds & then headed up to Lost Gulch Overlook just up the road for the epic mountain shots with the white capped mountains in the background! The weather was perfect & it’s a great place for wedding photos. These two were troopers, climbing over any rocks we pointed to in their wedding attire!
Our last stop before the reception was to head to the painted wall just next to Pearl Street. This was a special spot for Kelsey & Kilioi because it was the spot where they took their first photo together.
On to the reception at Hotel Boulderado at last to party with family & friends! Their cake fight was pretty epic. And be sure to check out their cigar & caricature drawing party favors!
