Estes Park Wedding Photography – Mary’s Lake Lodge | Graham + Kristin

ESTES PARK WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY | GRAHAM + KRISTIN | HALEY ALLEN PHOTOGRAPHY | MARY’S LAKE LODGE WEDDING | COLORADO MOUNTAIN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

It was about a year ago when I first spoke to Graham & Kristin on the phone. I learned that Kristin is a Colorado native and Graham is a former southerner Colorado transplant like me. Having met in Breckenridge, mountains were a big part of their story. So naturally, once they found Mary’s Lake Lodge, they knew it was the right spot for their wedding. I just remember Graham stopping the conversation and saying “Hey, we’ve talked to a lot of people and we like talking to you – can we just do this?” And just like that, I was honored to capture their Estes Park wedding photography.

I’ve never seen a bride so excited to be in her dress! It was fun seeing Kristin so happy.

For their first look, we knew they wanted to be alone so we scouted an aspen grove away from the lodge & lake since both were bustling with people.

To get away from the hustle & bustle that comes with weddings, we stole away to Rocky Mountain National Park before their ceremony.

Let’s talk about this veil. It’s a vintage ecrue veil that’s been in the family since 1911! So beautiful & delicate!

In between dinner and toasts we snuck Kristin & Graham off to the lake for the last bits of sunlight coming through the valley!

Tell me the story – how did you guys meet?

Through friends while skiing in Breckenridge

What is your favorite memory of your wedding day?

Group dance circle to DMX.

Pictures in the national park also. It was really great to have some time with just the 2 of us in a beautiful place.

Will/Did you take a honeymoon? If so, where?

French Polynesia

What advice do you have for other couples planning their wedding?

Make it what’s special between the two of you. Don’t get caught up in all the small details. This day is special but the marriage after the wedding is what’s most important.

What was it like working with Haley Allen Photography ?

Very professional, easy to talk to. Just when things were starting to get stressful during the wedding, they would steal us away to do private photos. They had a great read on how we were feeling and helped to make sure we were enjoying the wedding and taking a step back when needed.

Thank you Graham & Kristin for trusting me with your Estes Park Wedding Photography!

And thank you to my talented second photographer Cara Elizabeth!
